My mother, sister, and I had been taking turns caring for my grandfather who has dementia or Alzheimer's for almost four years now. We've been consulting with Catherine before she started her company when she was only blogging then about dementia care. I've actually known her for about 8 years now and she's always doing something to help the elderly. For a small fee, she trained a caregiver we hired to accommodate the special needs my grandfather has and her expertise is off the charts. She's very intuitive and seems to almost read my grandfather's mind at a time when he can barely communicate with words now. She's definitely an expert on this and we continue to use her as our main adviser. Her approach is unique and actually focuses on keeping the old person happy.

"I met Catherine when she worked privately with a lady with Alzheimer's. I would want Catherine to care for my own grandmother! One, she knows what it means to be a caregiver. Two, she's been a great mentor for me when I was volunteering at the Irish Center and when I was also a live-in help for a lady with dementia. Catherine gave me advice anytime I asked because dementia care is hard and her expert advice helped me every time. It's not like other types of care where you can easily reason with the senior. Dementia care requires an education, as well as experience where research is applied. I felt better knowing that my lady in care was happier receiving meaningful services and the methods Catherine used for me to fight off burnout worked as well."
