I had the immense pleasure of working on the blockbuster movie Black Adam for nearly 4 months. This was my first experience with the casting company Alessi Hartigan. Anyone who works in the business knows that things on the production side can change and shift with little notice. The staff at Alessi Hartigan, especially Julian, always kept up with the grueling production schedule while at the same time caring for the individual needs of the actors, stand-ins and background performers.

I was in awe at the sheer volume of performers they were able to bring in every day for the scenes. From someone has been acting for a little over a decade, I can honestly say this was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had with a casting company. Would totally recommend them for any production.

Terrible, experience. I was casted for the movie “Oh What Fun.” I’m unsure if the experience I had was in correlation to the people on set, directors or casting particularly. Nonetheless it was a mess. For starters when I was booked to star on set of this film there were so many inconsistencies with call times and dates. I was unsure on which day I was actually booked. Upon arriving on set via shuttle like you typically would we all were greeted with a woman who aggressively kept asking us how’d we manage to make it to set. As if we broke in ourselves and a group of us just snuck in willingly. It was weird. There was misinformation on wardrobe. There were a lot of micro aggressions that made me and others feel uncomfortable. Disorganized because we were held 14+ hours literally sitting… with no clear communication. To be told we still needed to remain on set to at the very end not even be used was such a waste of time. I’ve been on plenty of sets and I’m aware that you’re likely to remain on set for a while but this was absurd. I really think someone should reevaluate some things if you want people to continue to even want to book for this particular project. Being considerate in this industry goes a long way. And everyone matters on sets and in this industry. I will avoid castings from this company or bookings for this particular project if this is what it entails. Highly disappointed with the experience.

Alessi definitely makes you feel appreciated while working on any show/movie they partner with. Julian and Amy always provide the upmost support toward everyone, and the sign-up process through the show’s end date have always been a pleasure to be a part of. Such a strong casting team.
