I had the pleasure of being a haircut model for my sister, who is currently a student at Aveda Institute, and I was genuinely impressed by the entire experience. From the moment I walked in, the staff was welcoming, and the environment was clean, organized, and relaxing.

What stood out most was the level of attention and care I received. Despite being a model, I felt like a full-service guest. The one-on-one attention was exceptional—every step of the haircut was explained clearly, and I truly appreciated how thorough and communicative my sister and her instructor were throughout the process.

I also loved the little touches, like the comforting Aveda tea and the calming ambiance. It’s clear that the Institute puts a lot of focus on professionalism and guest experience, even during training. I left not only with a great haircut but also with a real sense of confidence in the future professionals they’re training.

I’ve been going to the Aveda Institute for the past 2.5 years, and lately I’ve been seeing Whitney — she’s amazing! She’s super patient and always makes sure I leave happy. She does all my babylights and is totally willing to tweak anything if I’m not 100% sure about it.

Over the last few years, my natural bright blonde hair has really darkened (thanks to getting older — goodbye 20s, hello 30s), and I wanted to bring some of that brightness back. When I first started getting highlights, I didn’t really know what I wanted, but she’s helped me figure it out over time. We started with partials and now we’re doing full highlights, and my hair looks just like it did a few years ago. It’s made such a difference in how I feel — I’m finally feeling like myself again.

On top of that, she’s just so much fun to be around. We always end up laughing the whole time, and people often think we’ve been friends forever (we haven’t — she’s just that easy to connect with). If you’re thinking about booking, I honestly can’t recommend Whitney enough!

Delilah is the absolute best! This is my third time coming back to her! She has done exactly what I wanted all 3 times. The first 2 times she made me blonde and it was so perfect. This third time I wanted to darken it closer to my natural color and she did a wonderful job. She is the sweetest girl as well so easy to talk to and makes the whole experience so enjoyable and comfortable. I refuse to go anywhere else! Here is my before and after!

I got a haircut twice at the school. The first time, I was happy with the result. But six weeks later, I went back and asked for a short haircut, and the senior student just trimmed it. Since she had already taken more than three and a half hours to dye my hair, I didn’t say anything.

I had asked her to blend my natural dark brown hair with the silver that’s coming in, and to slightly lighten one white strand at the front so the roots wouldn’t be as noticeable. She tried to do a good job, but she took so long that she ended up rushing the front section. The male instructor never came to check on her during all that time. Instead of blending with my natural color, now I have orange and yellow streaks in the front—the color of Trump’s dye. It shows on first picture. The second one is how I always asked to blend my hair.

I called Aveda twice to ask if they could do a quick retouch in the front, but they never called me back.

I got a balayage from Brittany Bivens. This was my first time visiting Aveda Institute and receiving services from a student. She was so professional and thorough when working on my hair. She got it to the exact color I wanted, just like the inspiration picture I showed her. My hair was a level 3 wirh red undertonws amd she took it to a level 9! I am so happy with her as a stylist, I am going to schedule again with herWay to go Aveda for having a stellar student!
