If you have a son or daughter that’s interested in modeling or acting, I highly recommend Barbizon. My daughter’s confidence, self esteem and over all self worth has greatly improved with the help of Barbizon’s in person instruction and on-line classes. We had the privilege of attending the Barbizon Baltimore showcase and a larger Passport to Discovery competition in Disney with over one hundred agents and managers. The experience was informative, exciting and even fun! It was a great way to network and make connections. We just got back less than a week ago and are still emailing and following up on callbacks. Barbizon of Pa has a great team of true professionals. You can see the respect both Jonathan and Jake Roth have earned in this industry and are real people that guide you and answer questions. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for my daughter and I thank Barbizon for the guidance and training!

I was a student here and wanted to share some insights with anyone considering. I now work in the entertainment industry as a crew member and attended Barbizon's school before that so I can look back with a bit more knowledge of how the industry works. You generally should NOT have to pay for an agency to rep you, but this one you do- they get away with it by having you pay for their classes. The program took place over a few weekends and we had to provide or pay for our own lunch each day. I was more interested in acting than modeling and I was assured by Mr. Roth that the class time would be about equally split between the two. This was not true at all. The only acting that we did was that we spent about an hour on acting vocab then another half hour picking a monologue. We performed the monologues the next week without any input or direction and then immediately moved on to the next modeling topic. I was very disappointed in the amount of time we spent on acting as that was what had sold me on the program in the first place. Here are also my thoughts on "Passport to Discovery." They have you audition for a "once in a lifetime opportunity" to go on this cruise in which nearly everyone in my class got invited. They called my parents to invite me and then proceeded to attempt to pressure them into dropping what I believe was about five thousand dollars or so to secure my spot. I had some fun and met some cool people but it is not worth the money they try to say it is and the utilization of pressure sales tactics is bizarre to say the least, it always felt like a complicated scheme.

I highly recommend the Babizon experience. I not only learned from some of the industry experts on skills for modeling and acting, I also gained confidence and life skills that i’m sure will help me in any path I choose. Jake and Jonathan were beyond supportive and always available to answer any questions I had. Through their coaching and leadership I was able to attend Baltimore showcase and PTD and was very successful in expanding my contacts and networking in the modeling profession. Thanks to the whole Barbizon staff, I am continuing to pursue my passion with a major New York agency. I could not have done this without them!!

Barbizon has been one of the best things that has happened to me. I joined in November of 2020. The Staff makes learning fun, are professional, and always answered my questions. They helped me be much more confident in myself and who I am! They also helped me become more open minded and not focus on just one thing and also helped me not be so nervous! Everything from expanding my knowledge on modeling and acting to learning about skincare, nutrition, and different techniques to succeed was fun and left me wanting more! Our journey with Barbizon Modeling of PA began when a friend recommended it. We were unsure at first, but enrolling our daughter turned out to be a fantastic move.

If you’re considering Barbizon, I highly recommend it! Ever since I’ve wanted to model, I had no idea how to start. So I joined Barbizon and it was the best decision I made! Every class was fun and there was always something exciting planned! All of the instructors were supportive, kind, and always willing to help!
