Barbizon has changed my life, let me share my story. I thought it would be better to go directly to New York first. I went, but ended up getting misled, where I had to pay thousands of dollars for photos and a website. I no longer wanted to move forward with that company. So, I then contacted Barbizon, and they helped me get out of the contract. I began my training at the Wilkes-Barre Barbizon location. I was very shy and couldn't speak in front of people. I've learned so much, I gained confidence, etiquette, and manners. Barbizon offers students casting calls in New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. I attended an International Convention this year and that itself was an incredible experience. Being able to walk on stage and perform in front of hundreds of agencies was amazing. I also got the chance to speak with those agencies on call back day. Barbizon even set up an appointment with an agency that did not attend the International Convention. That was exciting as well, since the director spent a few hours talking to me about the industry. I'm proud to say that I was offered a contract at the height of 5'3 with a commercial talent agency. Barbizon has really helped me break out of my shell and if I never chose Barbizon, my journey would've never begun!

Barbizon truly is one of the best things that has happened to me. I started off walking into my first day at Barbizon with almost no self confidence and now I love myself and learned to express myself, Barbizon has taught me a wide range of things that I’ll be able to use in my life forever. My personal favorite part of Barbizon is strutting the runway, I’ve grown so much on the runway and even went to Atlantic City Fashion Week 3 times so far, and now I’m preparing myself for IMTA this summer and that would have never happened if it wasn’t for Barbizon and my incredible teachers. I’m so thankful for this experience. I drive an hour and 45 minutes every other Sunday and it never gets old because of the excitement I have for each class! I’ve always had a dream to be a model and Barbizon has helped me fulfill my dreams and I’m truly thankful for every minute of it.

I was scouted at a county fair by a talent scout at The Barbizon School Of Modeling and Acting and I was so excited and felt so happy to be noticed. The school director, Miss Deb and I were in contact and I came in for an audition and I loved the atmosphere of the school and how organized and sweet Miss Deb was. Going to Barbizon School of Modeling and Acting in Wilkes-Barre PA was one of the best decisions I have ever made. This school has not only taught me modeling and acting but also many life lessons. I used to be very shy and seemed unapproachable but after this school I have gained so much self confidence. This school has truly helped build me up into the woman I am determined to be. Along with that, I feel that the people involved with Barbizon School are like a family, which is one of the reasons I drive 2 and a half hours every other Sunday to attend these classes. I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else and be taught by anyone else. The instructors are very smart and have great experience in the business. In the classes I have learned a lot about caring for myself such as: hygiene, interview training, skin care, makeup, nails, table etiquette, runway walking, and many acting techniques. I love this school and encourage every girl to go because I have truly learned so much and am so thankful for the opportunity that I have to go to this amazing school.

I am a current student at Barbizon in Wilkes Barre. My first class starts this Sunday, and I'm really over the moon excited! I met two students at my audition. Both young women were very lovely and spirited. They did not treat me like the mean girls in my High School treated me back when I was still in High School. I'm 26 and a mom so I'm usually very skeptical about new places and spending money. This place is very lovely though and is worth my investment. The atmosphere is soothing and inspiring. I've been waiting a long time to go to school for acting, modeling, and other entertainment related lessons. Deboraha, who accepted me into the school has given me a long-awaited opportunity. I can't wait to get started, and let my colors shine!

My Daughter Danielle attends Barbizon School of Modeling. She loves every minute of it and wishes she could attend everyday. All of the other students attending there are very nice, encouraging and supportive of each other. It is a wonderful atmosphere. Miss Deboraha is so professional and caring. She goes above and beyond for her students. She makes me and my Daughter feel like family as well as everyone else who attends there. I would encourage everyone to attend Barbizon to give themselves a foundation of values, family and educational means to better themselves. I could not say enough great things about this School as well as Miss Deboraha and the other teaches. I am so excited to embark on the great future my Daughter will have from all the training and opportunities she is receiving from this School. It is the best decision I every made enrolling my Daughter in Barbizon.

My daughter attended Barbizon and we were very happy with the experience. My daughter learned so much such as applying make up correctly, how to have a successful photo shoot, runway walking and reading a script for commercial auditions, but the best thing Miss Deboraha and Miss Amanda did for my daughter was to give her the confidence she needed to get out there and present herself in the best way possible. They taught her to have compassion, empathy and grace under pressure and Kristen has now been chosen the represent NEPA in the Miss Teen 2017 Pageant. Barbizon prepared her to prepare for her interview and to go into the interview with the utmost confidence needed to be selected. Thank you Barbizon for all the hard work you do.

My daughter had been involved with competition dance, modeling, and photogenic contests prior to entering Barbizon, but never won in any category of modeling. She began Barbizon in March of 2016 and began to learn various modeling techniques such as walking, posture, poise, as well as many other things. My daughter then went to competition in July and won first place in evening wear, second place in swimwear, and third place in sportswear. Everyone was so impressed with her Improvement and it was all due to Barbizon.

I first learned about Barbizon School of Modeling Wilkes-Barre 17 years ago when my sister Kristen was excepted into the program. I remember the fashion shows, make-up, photo shoots and her being excited to attend the Little League World Series. About a year ago my daughter Kayla came to me with an interest in modeling. The first place I thought of was Barbizon! I called and left a message and right away I received a call from Miss Deborah asking if Kayla could audition that next weekend. While speaking on the phone Miss Deborah remembered my sister going through the program 17 years ago. Miss Deborah has about 33 years of experience and now Kayla gets to experience what it’s all about. Kayla loved the classes with Miss Amanda learning all about make-up, fashion, run way, etiquette, healthy eating. The program has boosted Kayla’s self-esteem so much. She has done fashion shows photo shoots and got travel to NJ and Philadelphia with D&D Talent/Model Management. We can’t wait to see what’s next. Thank You Deborah and Miss Amanda
