I joined Frieda on her guided tour in November 2024. The meeting place was easy to find as the directions were clear. The tour lasted the amount of time I was told it would - just under three hours. The walk itself was not too far so manageable on foot for that amount of time. We stopped regularly to be told about specific buildings, shops, restaurants, and other places of interest. We were given ear pieces so I was able to hear the guide clearly throughout the tour. The tour was as described and what I expected. I think it's good value for money and I'm very glad I've done it.

After the tour, I walked back to Manhattan via Brooklyn Bridge so it was really worthwhile crossing the river. The view from Brooklyn Bridge walking towards Manhattan is much better than the other way round.

What a delightful moment out of this world ! I wish it lasted longer ! I was so excited to start with, as I know Frieda through YT since years I guess, then enjoyed every second of this travel in the past with the voice of Frieda to comment details, stories, and memories. Everyone converging to this point is seeking this little sparkling flame to brighten our lives and help define who we really are. You do not need to be Jewish or orthodox to understand the humanity Frieda brings with her in this very remote place. I am Jewish and know quite a bit, but I learned so much about this community. Cherry on the cake: I was not expecting food, but the already fabulous experience was doubled with a culinary experience with stops all along, from the delicious crunchy fried lox bagel (I will come back for that) to the chocolate rugelach and the exceptional goulash ! It reminded me the cooking of my grandma. Such emotion and spiritual diving, rich discussions and comfortable time. I was glad to see such diversity in the attendance, people from every cultural background or far away country, all passionate about this moment. Thank you Frieda for being who you are, and sharing this precious gift with us.

Absolutely first-rate in every way. We take walking tours all over the world and Frieda's was just terrific. She is warm and personable; tremendously knowledgable about the Hasidic Community; organized and professional; and funny to spend a few hours with.

We toured both the public and residential areas of the community, learning about the patterns of daily life and interesting tidbits you'd only learn from someone who grew up there.

Frieda included 3 separate food stops, so we could sample many varieties of local/cultural favorites, which were delicious.

Our tour was in mid-December and it was freezing out, but even the weather didn't matter -- it was a highlight of our NYC trip, and I've already recommended it to family and friends. Very multi-dimensional and thought-provoking, as well as entertaining. Loved it start to finish.

I'm naming this tour "Frieda's Feast," due to its delectable satisfaction of body, mind and soul. Her knowledge of past and present provides an important context for the tour. That, combined with her "insider" point of view, make for a culturally rich conversation (the use of her headset and ear receivers for the group made it easy to hear clearly.)

Getting a close-up look into the Hasidic way of life was deeply satisfying to me, a non-Jew with a decades long interest in the community. Frieda's tour made this a reality and it was one of the best tours I've ever been on.

Did I mention the food? Absolutely delicious. I brought home delicious pastries for my ever-hungry husband and he took most of them to work! The bagels and lox, Hungarian Goulash, pickles, noodles, kuchen, etc...- I'll be back.

My husband asked an understandable question along the lines of "Did you feel OK being there, did you feel welcomed etc?" as we are obvious outsiders. The answer is, we were certainly noticed and politely avoided. I will feel fine going back there on my own and I'll also take future tours with Frieda.

I had a private tour with Frieda. My two (grown) daughters and me. It was a great tour where she explained about the community, bought local food for us, and told her own personal story.
It was clear from her interaction with the local community that there is great mutual respect between her and the people in the community.

I started following Freida on YouTube and loved watching her videos and learning about the Hasidic community. I am not Jewish. This tour is for everyone who loves learning about people who live differently than themselves. When I found out I was coming to NY, I just had to book a tour. Frieda has everyone equipped with an ear piece so that she can be heard. Don't go with a full belly as you will be tasting some wonderful foods!

I enjoyed every second of my tour with Frieda yesterday. Frieda was welcoming and informative. We were given a very unique insight into Hasidic life in Williamsburg. It was simply fascinating and Frieda was so professional. Frieda also treated us to some very tasty Kosher food along the way! I would highly recommend this tour.

I stumbled on Frieda's You Tube Channel and immediately became fascinated with her story. When I found out that she gives tours in Williamsburg I signed my husband and I up! The minute you meet Frieda you realize you are going to learn a great deal about the Satmar community. Frieda is first and foremost a teacher. She knows her subject well. Every street feels personal for her. There is so much we can learn from the Hasidic community. It was also wonderful to be welcomed by the different shops and to hear Frieda bantering in Yiddish. We got to taste some wonderful traditional foods. I now want to go back just to eat!
You will leave this tour with a smile and some new found appreciation of this often misunderstood Jewish community. Thank you Frieda for a wonderful educational day!
