Disgusting owner was rude it was bees and wasps nest on the deck you couldn’t fish they attacked us and our bait. No shaded area on deck had to go out and buy our own umbrella and just couldn’t sit there without getting attacked. Room tiny and smelly everywhere you walk your walking through spiderwebs. Booked for a 2 day stay wasn’t there 24hrs the owner refused to refund my 2nd day stating everyone complains and want a refund. STAY AWAY!!

the fishing was amazing. My boyfriend and his family had a great time. The owner is sweet. I love to cook so having a full kitchen was the best. Everytime we go the other guest are also friendly. I am going up by myself for so me time. I am planning to do a girls trip for my friends.

Very friendly and very clean. When our septic was having issues we stayed here for a few days. The owners are very kind and gave us a neighbor discount as we live two blocks away. I'm sending all my family members to stay here when they visit. The dock is well maintained and has pole holders for fishing. Lots of crappy nearby and super fun to catch on a simple worm and bobber setup. It's a nice little romantic getaway with way less traffic noise as its not right on hwy 20.

Though an avid TripAdvisor user, I've never actually written a review- but after this weekend at Lake Place Resort, I had to share my incredible experience. We rented the property for my Dad's 60th birthday and invited 30 of our closest family and friends out, a sizable group that the resort easily accommodated. The rates are extraordinarily reasonable, so we rented the whole property for the weekend to have the place to ourselves- each room has a kitchen, most of them had multiple sleeping accommodations, as well as back doors that open to an outdoor lawn that overlooks a private dock down to the lake. We were able to totally decorate the outdoor area to our liking, and Phillip and his wife even helped us move things around to get the aesthetic just right. The rooms were clean and spacious, think more quaint cottage decor than city chic, which completely fit the peaceful energy of the outdoor space. There were multiple barbecue grills for our use, a fire pit, and an RV area- all of which lessened the amount of stuff we had to cart up with us. The icing on the cake though? When some members of our party had to unexpectedly pull out due to a death in our family the Thursday before we were scheduled to arrive- Phillip cut us a much appreciated break on those rooms, when he never had a chance to allow other patrons to book them- truly a class act. We'll definitely be back.

Within 10 minutes of being here I found black hairs in the bathroom and food in the kitchen sink. I immediately went to notify the owner. I tried remaining optimistic as we launched our boat to explore the lake. Came back about 2 hour’s later to find that the food is still in the sink and only some of the hair was cleaned up. At that point we couldn’t handle it any longer and decided to ask for a refund. The owner didn’t want to refund us nor let us leave. He insisted that maybe we put the hair there just so we could leave. Not the case at all. They clearly have very low standards for cleanliness. The place was filthy. Sheets stained, smelly room. It was horrendous.

Filthy, clearly not cleaned. There were bugs in the shower and dust/ dirt everywhere. Bugs in coffee maker. Bed was past it's prime with very uncomfortable bed. TV was 10 " and not in the best viewing position. Overall we will not being staying here again. Overpriced. Shameful

The owner, Philip Sun, went the extra mile for me. I am seriously allergic to cats and he had had someone stay in cottage 5 before we came who had two cats with them. He knew that I could have had an anaphylactic shock so he had the carpet steamed cleaned before we arrived and washed all the bedding. I was very appreciative that he would do that for me. The cottage is updated. The kitchen was great as there was a full refrigerator. The cottages are right on the lake so it was a very nice stay there.
